Personal Training for Couples Ages 50+
Get Stronger Together.
Personal training for couples 50+ who want to stay strong, healthy and active together.
You both work out in the same room, during the same hour, with me coaching you both one-to-one.
You don’t have to have the same fitness level, the same goals or even do the same exercises. I’ll build each of your training around your individual bodies, abilities and goals—while you get to enjoy the experience of training together.
Whether you want to get stronger, lose weight, improve your fitness, move better or simply make exercise something you do together, you’ll have one coach who knows both of you and keeps you moving forward.
One hour. One coach. Two personalized workouts.
Your first session is free.

Why Couples Train Together
Staying healthy is easier when you’re doing it together.
Life gets busy. It’s easy for exercise to keep getting pushed down the list, even when you both know how important it is.
Training together gives you a reason to make it a priority. You have the same hour blocked off, the same coach expecting you and someone beside you doing it with you.
And you don’t have to be at the same fitness level to train together.
One of you might be stronger. One might have an old injury. You may have completely different goals or prefer different exercises.
That’s okay.
I coach each of you individually within the same session, so you both get training that is appropriate for your body and your goals—while still having the experience of working out together.

What The Two Of You Can Work On
Your goals don’t have to match.
One of you might be focused on getting stronger while the other is working on balance or an old injury. You can be working on different things in the same hour.
One of you may want to build muscle while the other simply wants to keep the strength they have. You each train for that, in the same hour.
If one of you wants to lose weight and the other doesn’t, that isn’t a problem. Your training is built separately—you just do it side by side.
Stiffness rarely turns up in the same places for both of you. We work on what each of your bodies is actually holding onto.
Balance doesn’t have to wait until one of you has a fall. We train the leg strength, control and reaction time that keep you both steady.
One of you can be training around an injury while the other keeps progressing. Neither of you has to stop because the other needs to.
Desk work, driving and years of habit show up differently in each of you. We build the strength and awareness to help you both stand taller.
I’m not fitting the two of you into one program. I’m building the right one for each of you.
Why Couples Love Training Together
You get the benefits of personal training—and the experience of doing it together.
One hour together
No coordinating separate workouts or finding time for two different sessions. You both train during the same hour.
Personalized for both of you
Different fitness levels, different goals, different bodies. You each get a workout designed specifically for you.
Accountability built in
You have a coach expecting you to show up—and a partner beside you doing it with you.
More than a workout
You’re investing in your health together, supporting each other and building strength for the life you want to keep living.

What Couples Personal Training Looks Like
One hour together. Two personalized workouts. One coach who knows you both.
When you train as a couple, I’m coaching both of you throughout the session. You’re in the same room, working out at the same time, but your training is designed around your individual needs.
You might be doing the same movement with different weights or modifications. You might be doing completely different exercises. I move between you, watching your form, giving you specific cues and adjusting your training as you go.
You each get my attention. You each get a program built for you. And you get to do it together.
Over time, I also get to know you as a couple—how you motivate each other, where you’re at individually and what you both want to work toward.
And there’s something powerful about having someone beside you who is making the same commitment.
You show up together. You get stronger together. And you have someone keeping both of you on track.

Hi, I'm Katie
I’ve been helping people feel stronger, healthier and better in their bodies for more than 25 years.
I specialize in working with adults 50+ and understand that training at this stage of life requires a different approach. Your bodies, fitness levels and goals may be completely different—and that’s okay.
My job is to make sure you both get the coaching you need while still enjoying the experience of training together.
I’m a personal trainer and Certified Holistic Nutritionist with a degree in kinesiology, a certification in yoga and a long-standing study of Pilates and movement practices. I bring more than 25 years of experience working with people with different bodies, abilities, injuries and goals.
But one of my favourite things about working with couples is seeing what happens when they start moving together. I love watching them encourage each other, celebrate each other’s progress and find joy in making their health and fitness something they share.
And because I genuinely care about my clients, I get to know you both—not just your bodies and your goals, but who you are. I’m there to support you, keep you accountable and help you both stay on track.
Some of my clients have worked with me for 15 years or more. I love being part of that long-term journey and seeing couples become stronger, healthier and more confident together.
There’s something really special about helping two people who care about each other stay strong for the life they want to keep living.

Online Couples Training — Frequently Asked Questions
Do we have to be at the same fitness level?
Not at all. You can be at completely different fitness levels and still train together. I adjust the exercises, weights and intensity for each of you.
Do we have to have the same goals?
No. One of you might want to lose weight while the other wants to build strength. You may have different priorities, injuries or limitations. You each get personalized training within the same session.
Do we both get individual attention?
Absolutely. You’re both being coached throughout the session. I move between you, watch how you’re moving, give you specific cues and make adjustments for each of you.
Do we do the same exercises?
Sometimes yes, sometimes no. If an exercise is appropriate for both of you, you may do it together. Other times, I’ll give one of you a different exercise, weight or modification based on what your body needs.
Do we work out at the same time?
Yes. You’re both in the same room, during the same hour of coaching. You’re training together while I personalize the workout for each of you.
What if one of us has an injury?
That’s okay. I can modify exercises and adapt your training around injuries and physical limitations. You don’t have to be doing the same workout as your partner.
Why train as a couple instead of separately?
For many couples, it simply makes it easier to stay consistent. You have the same time blocked off, a coach expecting you and your partner beside you. You’re making your health a priority together.
What if we don’t have much fitness equipment at home?
That’s not a problem. We can build your workouts around the equipment you have available and make recommendations if there’s anything that would be useful.
Do you include nutrition coaching?
Nutrition and wellness tips are included as part of your personal training. I can answer questions, offer practical suggestions and help you understand how nutrition can support your training, energy and recovery.
If you want to take a deeper look at your nutrition, we can also book a separate nutrition coaching session where we have dedicated time to really dig into your eating habits, goals and what may be getting in the way.
Is couples personal training less personalized than individual training?
No. You each get a personalized program and individual coaching. You’re simply sharing the same hour with your partner, which means you get the benefits of personal training while having someone beside you doing it with you.
